Marsh Mallow  (Netherlands, Psych Rock)  -  mało znane zespoły

Grupa z Oss  (Netherlands)  założona w 1969r. - pierwotnie jako trio, w składzie :

- Bert Barten  -  vocals, organ, synthesizer  (lider i kompozytor zespołu)

- Huub Urlings  -  bass

- Fred Hoogendoorn  -  drums.

Pierwsze dwa single :

- "Hey Man"

- "Have You Ever Heard"

(1971, CBS, CBS 7193)

oraz :

- "I Should Like To Know"

- "Song For Joy"

(1971, CBS, CBS 7264)
nagrano w pierwotnym składzie z udziałem muzyków grupy Focus :
- Jan Akkerman  -  guitar
- Thijs van Leer  -  organ Hammond, flute.

Po ich wydaniu Huub Urlings opuścił zespół - zastąpił go pochodzący z Irlandii Mick Doyle  (bass)

W drugiej połowie lat 70-tych Marsh Mallow  (zespół potocznie określany jako Marsh Mallow 2)

funkcjonował jako kwintet :

- Bert Barten

- Fred Hoogendoorn

- Mick Doyle  -  bass

- Richard Severijns  -  guitar

- Rene Francissen  -  piano, organ.

W tym  (ostatnim)  składzie grupa nagrała trzeci  (ostatni)  singiel :

- "Feel Like A Stranger"

- "Get Out",

który ukazał się dwukrotnie  (Crossroad - CR 280.03 - oraz - 1980, CBS, CBS 8764).

Bert Barten przekazał mi informacje o swoim zespole :

"...The first MM was vocal,  organ, synth played by me
Huub Urlings did the bas guitar
Fred Hoogendoorn played drums
Om the single is also playing
Jan Akkerman on Guitar
Thijs van Leer on hammond organ and square flute

The single's Hey man and I should like to know were recorded at the Bullit sound in Nederhortstenberg NL studio where also David Bowie recorded his Diamond dogs album.

Huub left the band because the second MM was more rock oriented.
The first one was more psychedelic.

The band was founded in Oss.

I do not know exactly when we stopped.
I wanted to make a solo album which I did “Buried Alive” in the beginning of the eighties.
Than I made a second Album “Numa Kopjeha”.

Than I went on to produce other people as well.
