Grupa z Greenville  (South Carolina, US), działajaca w drugiej połowie lat 60-tych - w składzie :

- Rickey Lankford  -  lead guitar

- Terry Taylor  -  rhythm guitar

- Danny Satterfield  -  lead vocals

- Greg Ballew  -  drums

- Van Stout  -  bass.

Wszyscy  (oprócz Danny Satterfield był studentem Greenville Technical College)  uczęszczali do Carolina High School, Greenville.

Przełomowym momentem działalności zespołu było zwycięstwo w lokalnym  (Greenville)  "Battle

of the Band"  (13.04. 1968 - Memorial Auditorium), konkurancja była "ostra" :

- The Lost Souls

- The Newmen  (II miejsce)

- The Gaf.

- The Jagwires

- The Fabulous Rotations

- The Henry J's  (III miejsce)

- The Four Dimensions

- The Shades of Gray

- The Ninth Row

- The Afo.

W nagrodę każdy członek zespołu otrzymał 50 USD plus sesja nagraniowa zespołu w Mark V Studios, Greenville.

To właśnie tam został zarejestrowany singiel  (jedyne wydawnictwo)  Knights Of The Road :

- "Do You Really Care"  (Humphries - Satterfield)

- "The Color Of Dream"  (Lankford - Satterfield - Taylor)

W 1968r. grupa wystąpiła w sponsorowanym przez The Carolina Inter - Act Club koncercie

(obok : The Bojax, The Tombstones i The Founders)  z którego dochód został przeznaczony na

ufundowanie tablicy pamiątkowej - "polegi na kraj".

W 1969r. do zespołu dołączył wokalista Steve Ballard - zastępując Danny'ego Satterfielda.
