Nobody's Children (New Mexico - US, Garage Rock) - mało znane zespoły

Nobody's Children  (New Mexico - US, Garage Rock)  -  mało znane zespoły

Grupa z Gallup (New Mexico), początkowo znana jako The Eliminators  (z John Bates na gitarze),
założona w 1965r. - pierwotnie w składzie :
- Bruce Sullivan  -  guitar, keyboards, vocals  (Bruce Allen Sullivan z Gallup, ur. 18.10. 1948r.)
- Ron Bosserman  -  bass, vocals  (Ronald Tevis Bosserman, ur. 30.07. 1946r.)
- Dario Chioda  -  guitar, vocals  (Dario F. Chioda, ur. 25.10. 1947r.)
- Terry Leach  -  drums, vocals  (Terry Lynn Leach, ur. 25.04. 1948r.).

W czerwcu 1966r. zespół wszedł do studia  (John Wagner Studio w Albuquerque, NM)
gdzie nagrał singiel :
- "Baby I Tried"  (kompozycja zespół : Bosserman - Chioda)
- "St. James Infirmary"  (G. Primrose),
wydany przez Delta Records - Albuquerque  (1966, Delta, R - 2207).

Pod koniec 1966r. do wiosny 1967r. Nobody's Children zaliczyli wiele udanych występów,
m.in. jako grupa wsparcia dla : The Beau Brummels, The Standells, Harper's Bizarre.
Na początku 1967r. mieli zaplanowany występ - wsparcie dla The Lovin' Spoonful, który
w ostatniej chwili odwołano z uwagi na udział The Lovin' Spoonful w telewizyjnym programie
Ed Sullivan Show.
Wiosną 1967r. nagrali utwór "Wish On A Star"  (nigdy nie wydany). Po tej sesji grupę opuścił
Ron Bosserman, którego wkrótce zastąpił jego brat - Jody Bosserman. Już z nowym basistą
(Jody)  zespół zarejestrował jeszcze jedno nagranie - "Captain Bosserman's Zoom Zoom Machine"
(bez publikacji do chwili obecnej).
Pod koniec 1967r. grupa Nobody's Children rozpadła się.
Od tego czasu, już kilkakrotnie  (1974, 1988, 1998, 2006)  miała  "krótkotrwałe powroty" w ramach
okazjonalnych występów.

Many thanks to Sammy Chioda (brother Dario) for information and photos of the band

W odpowiedzi na moje pytania - Sammy Chioda napisał :

I am urgently looking for information about Nobody's Children from Gallup (single: "Baby I Tried" / "St. James Infirmary", 1966, Delta Records). I know it was your brother's team (Dario Chioda). I am asking for some information about him:
- when and in what composition was this group formed?
- where and when was the single recorded and in what composition?
- has it released any other recordings?
- when was the band dissolved and why?

Sammy :

"...Hi, Paul.  Great to hear from you.  I will be in touch with Dario and provide you the information you are requesting.  The studio was the John Wagner Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The group disbanded as they went on to college and other interests glcame along, although there have been numerous reunions with the original group members, all who are still living.
Original members include Dario Chioda, Ron Bosserman, Bruce Sullivan and Terry Leach.  Bruce also peformed for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Terry has an in-home studio.  Ron is retired, living in Texas.  Dario is retire, living in Phoenix, Arizona.  All members are still music active.  Dario actually replaced John Bates, prior to all recordings.  The band was known as The Eliminators at that time  before becoming Nobody's Children.  Other studio recordings were 'Wish Upon a Star', and 'Captain Bosserman's Zoom Zoom Machine' ..."
"...Hi, Paul.  I spoke with Dario today and he provided me more background to share with you.  The group went to college at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in the Fall of 1966.  The group disbanded in late 1967.  Ron Bosserman left the group after they recorded 'Wish upon a Star' in the Spring of 1967.  Ron's brother, Jody Bosserman replaced him and shortly thereafter the group recorded 'Captain Bosserman's Zoom Zoom Machine'.  In the Winter of 1966,...and into 1967, Nobody's Children did warm up for The Beau Brummels The Standells and Harpers' Bizarre.  The group had reunions in 1974, 1988, 1998 and 2006.  Please share your email address and I will email you 'Baby I Tried'.  That song was the 'A' side.  'St. James Infirmary' was the 'B' side, released on Delta Records.  Both were recorded in June of 1966..."
"... One more thing.  They were scheduled to do warmup for the Lovin' Spoonful in the Spring of 1967, who. cancelled due to a last minute commitment with the Ed Sullivan Show on TV..."
"...The other two songs were not released.  I will work on a photo.  1965 was the start.  Recorded in June of 1966..."
