Bokaj Retsiem (GER) - Psychedelic Underground (1968, Psych Rock, Krautrock)
Można powiedzieć, iż był to projekt muzyczny (coś na wzór brytyjskiego Arzachel) Rainera
Degnera (Rainer Degner), byłego muzyka The Rattles. Ten utalentowany wokalista i
gitarzysta zaprosił do współpracy : Dieter Horns, Peter Hecht. Owocem tego wspólnego
projektu była zrealizowana w 1968 roku płyta - "Psychedelic Underground" (jeden z pierwszych
albumów krautrocka). W ten oto sposób powstała jedna z najlepszych pozycji krautrocka i
europejskiej psychedelii końca lat 60-tych. Oryginalny LP jest bardzo rzadki, a jego cena
na różnych aukcjach dochodzi do wręcz astronomicznych kwot.
Warto dodać, iż oprócz wymienionych muzyków na płycie pojawił się także perkusista
Noam Hazeid Halevi, chociaż są i takie opinie, że inny muzyk The Rattles - Peter Becker
wykonywał partie perkusyjne na tej płycie.

From the archives of krautrock,naive psychedelia from the golden age of German rock'n'roll. This German record knocked me on my knees, and many of my friends in the late 90s . At this strange name stands a Mr. Rainer Degner, previously the guitarist of the sixties beat group German Bonds, had a passion for the old German children's song "Meister Jakob". In fact, this is also the real name of this studio project (with session musicians), but due to the arrival of psychedelia, strange things were happening, and the letters 'bokaj retsiem' must be reversed to make any sense! The project, dubbed Bokaj Retsiem was assembled at the initiative of guitarist and vocalist Rainer Degner. For this work he connected keyboardist Peter Hecht,whose Hammond organ, along with psychedelic guitar Degner's - is a major strength of the album. Even participated in the recording bassist Dieter Hornst and drummer Peter "Pete" Becker . All of these guys at various times played The German Bonds.
OdpowiedzUsuńDegner's album included some absolutely perverse arrangements of "Meister Jakob", but also some great acid guitar parts in the typical late sixties style. One of the few German psychedelic albums in existence, and for this reason a quite interesting and uncommon item! Accompanied by the unknown German musicians has created an amazing album, which combines flavors of achievements Hendrix, Iron Butterfly, Deep Purple debut (distorted guitars, pulsing organ) - with the accompaniment of acoustic guitars, psychedelic sound effects, and appear suddenly in references to various musical genres. The result is a simple, but totally unreal, narcotic music-it is difficult to break away! The whole truth about the real psychedelic underground Central and Eastern Europe reveals the full power of this album. A lot of blues here, a lot of garage sounds more melodic and tonal loans (the first number taken alive from the classic hit Do not Let Me Be Misunderstood!), A lot of jamming in spontaneous aura reminiscent of a memorable sessions of Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper (lots of organs!), and not correct english vocalist, resounds phrases anchored about magic mushrooms, pills and ecstatic tripach to the center of the mind. In a word, if you fancy an authentic psychedelic feel the Archean, the plate Bokaj Retsiem (anagram Meister Jakob) is absolutely not to be sneezed at. As the producer of the forthcoming album was to make Herbert Hildebrand - the person is not left, and bassist other Hamburg beat group The RMembers of The Rattles also contributed to this album.
