Anonima Sound Ltd. (ITA) - " Red Tape Machine " (1972, Prog Rock)

Anonima Sound Ltd. (ITA) - Red Tape Machine (1972, Prog Rock)

Anonima Sound Ltd. zapraszając do współpracy, m.in. dwóch amerykańskich (Richard Ingersoll,
Claudine Reiner) i jednego brytyjskiego (Peter Dobson) muzyka.
Zespół całkowicie zmienił swoją orientację muzyczną, podążając w kierunku brytyjskiej psychodelii i
rocka progresywnego.

Wydany w 1972 roku (jedyny) album "Red Tape Machine"  ( w całości z wokalem w języku angielskim ) potwierdził wybrany kierunek muzyczny i  duże możliwości zespołu, a zarazem
(moim zdaniem) jest jedną z najlepszych płyt włoskiego prog rocka.

  1. Formed in Urbino, Marche in 1964, Anonima Sound, are mostly remembered as a trio beat where he began as the late guitarist Ivan Graziani, released four singles until 1970,
    'Fuori piove/Parla tu' CBS (CBS 3048) 1967'
    'L'amore mio, l'amore tuo/I tetti' CBS (CBS 3418) 1968'
    'Josephine/Mille ragioni' BS (CBS 4212) 1969'
'Ombre vive/Girotondo impossibile' Numero Uno (ZN 50006) 1969' when their leader Ivan Graziani (from Teramo, Abruzzo) left to pursue a very successful solo career that lasted until his death in 1997. Their first single 'Fuori piove' was a hit at the time.

Anonima Sound the band will reform at least twice before making his debut on LPs. In 1970 the group goes to Number One of Lucio Battisti and published the only 45s 'Ombre vive' Numero Uno (ZJN 50021) before disbanding after the departure of Graziani for military, abandoning the new record which will remain in force later only Graziani. Returned by the lever a year later, guitarist Teramo though no longer reach the old traveling companions making it clear that he wanted to take a very different road than to spend your life in the dance halls of Umbria. Not at all discouraged, Velio Gualazzi, the only survivor of the group, reformed the band in 1971, changing their name to Anonima Sound Ltd. and with a new member in guitarist Massimo Meloni, bassist Piero Cecchini and the band continued to work and released a good Italian-sung single in 1971,'Io prendo amore/Cerchi' Arcobaleno (ARC NP 2071). Velio Gualazzi, not at all discouraged,as the only survivor of the group, employs new guitarist Massimo Meloni, bassist Piero Cecchini and the band continued to work with a new single 'Io prendo amore/Cerchi' Arcobaleno (ARC NP 2071) 1971'. Then in 1972,the band undergoing radical change, probably tired of the monotony of the beat, the band expands its line-up of seven elements and a music veers decidedly more complex and international. Incidentally line-up transformed the band into a seven-piece with two americans, singer/flutist Richard Ingersoll (and also author of the cover), and percussionist Claudine Reiner, and englishman Peter Dobson on guitar, well as Lamberto Clementi guitar,a music heavily influenced by the English prog of the time. Their only album, on Arcobaleno label, is strongly influenced by the likes of Jethro Tull, with a good use of flute and totally sung in English. In 1972, not everyone could easily access to the British market and therefore many groups could with impunity "bluff" posing as American or British, but it is also true that the new critical consciousness youth had sufficient means to recognize similar adulteration and keeping themselves away. "Red tape machine" does not sell practically anything, rejecting the group in 'anonymity and forcing the dissolution in less than six months after the album's release 'Red Tape Machine' - Arcobaleno (ARC 000111) 1972'. Album also reissued on CD by Mellow in 1993 (MMP 178) and Akarma (AK 1006)
    Thx ;)
