Morning After (UK) - Blue Blood (1971, Heavy Blues Rock, Prog Rock)
Jak długa i ciężka jest droga do sławy przekonało się o tym wielu artystów. Jednym się poszczęściło,innym nie . Do tej drugiej grupy należy zaliczyć czterech muzyków z Manchesteru, którzy w ramach
zespołu o nazwie Morning After nie zdołali przekonać do swojej muzyki wytwórni fonograficznych,
a szkoda. W roku 1967 bardzo zdolny muzyk - Norman Hume (gitara i vocal, używający także pseudonimu - Norman
Beaker) założył wspomniany zespół do którego zaprosił swojego brata Malcolma Hume (perkusja),
Iana Stocks'a (bass) oraz Johna McCormick'a (inst. klawiszowe). Po kilku latach ciężkiej pracy,
zdecydowali się na nagranie swojego pierwszego albumu (niestety miał to być ich jedyny LP).
Muzyka jaką zaproponowali utrzymana była w klimacie brytyjskiego undergroundu, elektryzująca,
czysta i surowa - jednym słowem wspaniała. Materiał na płytę został nagrany jako demo w
studiu domowym, a z uwagi na brak zainteresowania wytwórni płytowych wydali go sami muzycy

OdpowiedzUsuń1) Morning After (1994-2005) hails from the city of Lahti in southern Finland. This four-piece hardcore wolfpack plays NYC-styled mid-tempo hardcore with no gimmicks or synthesizer-bullshit. Morning After is all about hardcore, pure and simple. Four guys, enthusiasm and rage.
2) The Morning After is a rock band from Winnipeg, Canada. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2005, followed by "Song Song Song" in 2008.
3) Morning After is a gothic metal band from Greece. Formed in 2002 and released one cd "Beneath The Real" in 2003.

Morning After, English underground proto-punk/heavy fuzz-blues band. They performed regularly since the late 60s to early 70s tych.Grupa collaborated frequently with the famous singer and harmonica virtuoso Brian Marx, and the highlight was a concert at The Buxton Opera House. Morning After only released one obscure and unknown album entitled 'Blue Blood' in 1971, recorded this LP as a demo only to acquire a record deal (as so many bands did in the late 60/s early 70s). So the album was pressed only in tiny amounts. The recording was with home studio equipment. Some of the tracks on the album sound like Blues Rock from the late Fleetwood Mac and some have a more progressive touch such as Shuttah. Great & heavy guitar work that predicted much of the early '77 punk sound. Fuzz and wah-wah all over the album, snotty and passionate vocals, all own great compositions. The album title Blue Blood assumed a noble wealthy family and a member of the establishment, but the music and lyrics are just the opposite. The music on this album is pure British Underground, electrifying, pure and raw, no Sgt. Pepper sing a long tunes. After the breakup Norman joins the group The Victor Brox Blues Train, playing with them a lot of concerts.
