Euphoria (UK, Heavy Psych Rock) - nieznane zespoły
Euphoria - to kolejna perełka z kompilacji "Samantha Productions Volume Two".
Miałem trochę szczęścia, a zarazem wielką przyjemność nawiązać kontakt z gitarzystą tego
zespołu - Dave Corcoran (mam nadzieję kiedyś wrócić na blogu do biografii muzycznej tego
artysty), który (pomimo upływu czasu) przekazał mi kilka cennych informacji o tej grupie.
Euphoria - kwartet z północno-zachodniego Londynu o lokalnym zasięgu (Londyn).
W 1970r. podczas jednego z występów zespołu, skontaktował się z nimi promotor z
propozycją nagrania utworu na potrzeby kompilacyjnego albumu który miał być promocją
mniej znanych zespołów.
Nagrań dokonano w studiu w dzielnicy Earls Court. Grupa Euphoria - w składzie :
- Dave Corcoran - guitar
- Brian Daniels - vocals
- Terry Davy - bass lub drums
- John Grant - bass lub drums,
zaprezentowała się utworem :
- "Hangman's Rope"
Wiele lat póżniej (1992) nagranie to ponownie zostało wydane, tym razem na wieloalbumowym
wydawnictwie :
- V/A - "Syde Tryps One"
zaangażowany w kilka różnych projektów muzycznych) opuścił zespół, który niebawem zakończył
działlność (circa 1971).
Dave przeprowadził się do Kent, gdzie związał się z lokalnymi muzykami i występował w różnych
zespołach.
Przez wiele lat (1999 do 2010) był członkiem zespołu OGWA, grał w Wielkiej Brytanii, a także
koncertował we Francji i Hiszpanii.
Dave Corcoran - napisał :
"...Hi Paul, well this was all a very long time ago. As I recall I was involved with quite a few different projects back then, Euphoria being one of them. We were all from north west London and used to gig locally and occasionally towards central London. We were invited to contribute to the album by a promoter who was at one of our gigs. The only member whose name I can remember was a guy called Brian Daniels who lived in Harlesden in north London. The album was recorded in a studio in the Earls Court area in West London as far as I recall. I left the band a year later after some sort of disagreement and I understand it all dispersed shortly after that. I moved done to live in Kent a little while later and never kept in touch with the rest of the band. Since moving to Kent I hooked up with local musicians and played with various different bands. I played guitar with a band called OGWA from 1999 till 2010 and played not only in the UK, but also toured in France and Spain. I have no photos of Euphoria unfortunately as we weren't really into that back then .
Brian Daniels was the vocalist btw. I can't remember at the moment which way round the other two were, but one would be drums and the other bass guitar. ... "
