Jasmin -T (UK, Psych / Blues Rock) - (nie)zapomniane zespoły
Grupa Jasmin-T (a.k.a - Jasmin T) powstała w 1967r. w Southport (niecałe 20 mil od Liverpool),
z inicjatywy - Barry Womersley (świetny gitarzysta, związany wcześniej, m.in. z : Rhythm And Blues
Incorporated, The Big Three, The Pacemakers), który zaprosił do współpracy muzyków związanych z Pete Kelly's Soulution - multiinstrumentalistę John Surguy i basistę John McCaffrey, a także Barry Tweedale
na perkusji. Po krótkim czasie (około miesiąca) Tweedale opuścił zespół. Na jego miejsce pozyskano
pochodzącego z Liverpool perkusistę Alan Menzies (ex - Rhythm And Blues Inc., The Expressions), a
także dodano Alan Solomon (saksofonista z topowej grupy The Reg James Explosion z Manchester).
Tak powstał pierwszy, oryginalny skład Jasmin-T :
- Barry Womersley - vocals, guitar
- John Surguy - vocals, saxophone, flute, steel guitar, oboe
- John McCaffrey - bass
- Alan Menzies - drums
- Alan Solomon - saxophone, flute, piano, oboe ,
który wraz z końcem 1969r. zakończył działalność .

John Surguy - napisał :
"...Hi Paul. In Answer to your questions,
Jasmin T started in 1967, By "Barry Womersley" guitar
Barry approached me and John McCaffery Bass, to join a new band "Jamin T"
At that time we were a 4 piece with Myself, "Vocals, Sax, Flute, Steel Guitar / Barry Womersley "Vocals. Guitar / John McCaffery "Bass" and Barry Tweedale on Drums, after about 1 month Barry Tweedale left the band and was replaced by Alan Menzies, on Drums, we also added Alan Solomon on Sax, Flute and Piano. This was the original line until we broke up the end of 1969.
We played a lot in Europe ( Mainly, Germany and Denmark ) also play many clubs in England, Scotland and Wales?
In Germany we play in Hamberg at the "Top Ten Club" for a few months, this is also were me and Alan Soloman met the next band we would play with after Jamin T split up they were called "Warm Dust"
The single was recorded by "Barry Womersley / Alan Menzies / Alan Solomon / John McCaffery / and myself /
When we started rehearsing in Southport we used an old Hotel called "Palace" (it was supposed to be Haunted??)
We were told that a film company was going to make a Horror film there? and we could stay there until they arrived?
When they arrived, they said we could stay? so we wrote the Theme music for the film and they also put us in a club scene spot in the film, the film was called "The Haunted House of Horrors" the theme music was also used for a TV series I can't remember the name?
Jamin T split about the end of 1969, myself and Alan Solomon joined a band called "Warm Dust" and in 1973 Myself Barry Womersley and John McCaffery, plus a new drummer called Ian McGee, started a new band called "Inner Sleeve" That's another story??
Hope this helps, I've forgotten most of the dates? if I think of anything else? I'll let you know?
