The Judges  (Alabama, US, Garage Rock)  -  and  -  The Stone Cutters  (Alabama, US, Garage - Psych Rock)  -  nieznane zespoły  (in memory of Walt Stewart)

Walt Stewart - wszechstronnie utalentowany muzyk  (autor tekstów, wokalista, gitarzysta, basista),

pochodzący z Alabamy  (Auburn)  -  odszedł wiele lat temu  (popełnił samobójstwo).

Występował w wielu  (często krótkotrwałych)  lokalnych zespołach z Birmingham  i Auburn

o których niewiele wiadomo - m.in. :

1/ The Judges z Birmingham :

- jeden singiel : "The Judge And Jury" / "Come On - Come On"  (wydany w pierwszej połowie

  1966r. na etykiecie Shurfine Record z Atlanta, GA, 018)

2/ The Stone Cutters z Birmingham lub z Auburn :

- jeden singiel : "Mister, You're A Better Man Than I" / "Fellow Slave"

(wydany pod koniec 1966r. także na etykiecie Shurfine Record, 022)

3/ The Hungry I z Auburn :

- latem 1967r. nagrali singiel : "Snake Bite" / "One O'Clock Noon Time" - w High Records w

  Memphis, wydany już pod nową nazwą - The Life - w grudniu 1967 lub w styczniu 1968 na

  etykiecie Hi Records z Memphis, TN, 45 - 2138.

Informacje uzyskane od George Roberts  (perkusista The Hungry Eye) :

"... I played with Walt in The Hungry Eye (1967), which was the band name before Hi Records released "Snakebite" under the name The Life. .  In 1968 I left to join The James Gang (Wilbur Walton) and I'm not sure who followed me in Walt's band.  I knew Woody though; we're both from Albany, GA and played the same AL/GA venues.
I do know that Marvin Talor (K-Otics) was putting a band together with Walt and Woody when Walt died so he might be a good resource for you. ... "
