Forest City Sound  -  lokalna grupa z Rockford  (Illinois), działająca na przełomie lat 60 i 70  (póżniej po korektach personalnych zmieniła nazwę na Forest),  założona przypuszczalnie w 1968r. przez miejscowych, młodych  (trzech szesnastolatków i dwóch siedemnastolatków) - pierwotnie w składzie :

- Jim Huffington  -  keyboards

- Joe McDaniel  -  lead vocals

- Larry Beeman  -  lead guitar

- John Moline  -  drums

- Rick Kellett  -  bass
