The Blues Right Off (ITA) - "Our Bluesbag" (1970, Heavy Psych Blues Rock)

The Blues Right Off (ITA) - Our Bluesbag (1970, Heavy Psych Blues Rock)

współudziale przyjaciela - Ermanno Velludo (inżynier dźwięku, właściciel The Suono Recording Studio, określany jako piąty członek zespołu). Pozostałymi muzykami w projekcie o nazwie The Blues Right Off byli : G.C.

  1. A little-known group of Venice, whose only album, released in limited edition, is among the rarest of Italian rock of the '70s. Definitely not an album of progressive rock, but a progressive work style, that he was one of the first records (if not THE first) of a group of Italian blues, because the blues was considered during the '60s in Italy only a music reserved for foreign musicians. In fact, the group's leader, guitarist Claes Cornelius, was a foreigner, a Dane arrived in Italy in the mid-60s and now well placed in the beat scene in those years. Cornelius was the founder, along with sound engineer Ermanno Velludo, recording studios Sound. The album, "Our Bluesbag" , contains seven songs, all sung in English and in the best tradition of electric blues, based guitar solos and a voice rather acute. All tracks are original. Some resemblance Canned Heat can be heard in the use of the voice and even the flute (like in Rushing Wish), but in general the group has a personal sound.

The group was formed in the late '60s, and after the dissolution Cornelius continued as a studio musician, living in the US for a year and then return to Venice, contributing to the album of Venetian Power The arid land. It is then re-established in Denmark in 1974, remaining in the music industry since then, both as a producer and as a musician. Incredibly rare album,"Our Bluesbag" is now worth considerable sums. The album was released privately in 500 copies contained in a jute bag that bore the name of the group and the title of the LP screen printed, and also contained a release of the Venetian artist Vittorio Basaglia. The original lithograph is numbered by hand on a print run of 150 copies and signed by the artist, so not all the albums released contained. It is not even certain that all copies were sold or distributed contained in jute bag.

Despite the low number of printed copies, there are three variations of the cover, which is not openable: in addition to the normal version, with opening on the right side, has copies with the opening on the left side; They have also been found few copies that have the cover consists of a simple folded sheet and not pasted on the sides..
    (they are not false).
The album was reissued for the first time in 2009 on CD by AMS and collectors for many it was the first opportunity to hear him. Reprinting, created with the collaboration of Claes Cornelius and Ermanno Velludo, came out in limited edition of 500 hand-numbered copies, with cardboard cover mIn 2012 it came out the first vinyl reissue of this record, produced in England by the Portuguese Golden Pavilion Records (GP 1015LP) in 500 copies with gatefold cover.ini-LP and a booklet with notes in Italian and English. The Milan group it was the best among the groups "underground" in the early 70s, with decidedly American influence in their music, rather than be guided by the British as most groups of those years.
